Fingerprint Background Check (Live Scan)
While most Rec instructors complete the basic Checkr criminal background check, some programs and organizations require a more comprehensive fingerprint check (Live Scan). If you are asked to complete a fingerprint check, follow these steps:
Receive the pre-filled form
Rec will send you a form with the employer information already completed.
Locate a Live Scan provider
Find the nearest Live Scan provider location [here].
Complete the Live Scan
Go to the provider location to complete the Live Scan.
Bring valid photo identification. Expired IDs will not be accepted.
Submit your receipt
Email the receipt from your Live Scan to instructors@rec.us.
Rec will reimburse the expense on your next instructor payout.
