Rec is responsible for and obtains insurance for instructors to be on-site at Parks & Rec departments based on the County’s insurance requirements. All onboarded instructors are covered under policies that cover:

Each session includes an accident policy for both instructors and participants in case of injury, provided by Citadel Insurance Services LC. In case of an injury, please immediately seek medical attention. Keep receipts of any co-pays, deductibles, and out of pocket expenses including prescriptions. Incidents need to be reported to Rec and we will instruct you on how to file a claim.

Rec does encourage instructors to have their own insurance such as general liability, professional liability and other applicable coverages that an insurance professional recommends.
