Instructor Insurance Coverage
Rec is responsible for and obtains insurance coverage for instructors to be on-site at Parks & Rec departments, in accordance with the County’s insurance requirements. All onboarded instructors are covered under policies that include:
General Liability
Auto Liability
Sexual Abuse & Molestation
Accident & Medical Expense Insurance
Each session also includes an accident policy for both instructors and participants, provided by Citadel Insurance Services LC.
In case of an injury:
Seek medical attention immediately.
Keep all receipts for co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses, including prescriptions.
Report the incident to Rec. We will guide you on how to file a claim.
Rec encourages instructors to maintain their own insurance, such as:
General liability
Professional liability
Any other coverage recommended by a licensed insurance professional
