Welcome, coach or facilitator!

Congratulations! You are now a coach or facilitator with your local Parks and Recreation department.

From your Rec account you can:

  • View your classes and schedule

  • View your class rosters and participant contact details

  • Check participants in and out of a class

  • Enjoy teaching and interacting with students

Finding your classes

To view and manage your classes:

  1. Sign in to your Rec account.

  2. Go to your Rec profile.

  3. Select the Lessons section.

Viewing your public instructor profile

Select View Public Profile to see how your coach or instructor profile appears to the public. If you need to change anything on your profile, reach out to the city or organization that manages your coach account and they can update it for you.

Your class roster

Opening a class shows its schedule and its roster of participants, including names, contact information and basic profile details (personal information is redacted in the example below for privacy). You can also copy a quick link to the public booking page if you need to share it.

Your roster shows confirmed participants only — cancelled bookings are excluded from the list and from participant totals.

Where your organization collects them, rosters also show each participant’s emergency contacts and authorized pickup people.

Taking attendance

You can check participants in and out directly from your class page — you do not need to use a separate app or ask front-desk staff to do it.

  • Check in and check out
Each participant on the roster has check-in and check-out actions. If you check someone in by mistake, the action can be undone.

  • Scanning a Rec ID
Where your organization has QR scanning enabled, you can take attendance by scanning a participant’s Rec ID QR code instead of finding them on the roster.

  • Authorized pickups at check-out
Some organizations ask you to record which authorized pickup person collected a participant. If that is enabled for your organization, you will be prompted to select the pickup person when you check a participant out, and it is saved with the attendance record.

Attendance settings vary by organization. If you do not see attendance actions on your class page, check with the city or organization that manages your coach account.
