Booking Lessons on San Francisco Rec and Park Department Courts
The following policies and processes apply to booking lessons on San Francisco Rec and Park Department courts.
New Lesson Slot Release Schedule
New lesson slots are released every Monday at 8:00 a.m.
Slots are released for the following week of availability.
Instructors may book lessons up to 28 days in advance.
This means that each Monday at 8:00 a.m., new lesson slots become available for dates 21 to 28 days in the future.
Maximum Number of Lesson Slots
Each instructor may have, per calendar week:
Up to 5 unbooked lesson slots
Up to 15 booked lesson slots
Automatic Cancellation of Unbooked Slots
Any lesson slot that remains unbooked will be automatically released two days before the scheduled start time.
The release occurs at 8:00 a.m. to allow local residents access to the court.
Example:
At 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, any unbooked lesson slots scheduled for Friday will be canceled.
Canceling or Rescheduling a Lesson
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson:
Contact the student directly to explain the change.
Notify the student by text message.
Student contact information is available in your Instructor Profile.
Contact the Rec Instructor Team to inform us of the change.
We will assist with canceling or rescheduling the lesson as needed.
