About the waitlist

The waitlist allows you to request a spot in a class or program that is currently full. If a space becomes available, eligible participants may be notified.

This section explains how the waitlist works and what to expect.

Waitlist policies may vary

Waitlist procedures can differ depending on the Parks and Recreation department offering the program. Review the waitlist information provided on the department’s website to understand how it applies to a specific class or activity.

How to join the waitlist

  • When a class is full
When a class or program reaches its maximum capacity, an option to join the waitlist may appear if the waitlist is available.

  • User account required
You must have a user account on the platform to join a waitlist. This allows the system to contact you if a spot becomes available.

Notification process

  • Spot availability
If a spot becomes available due to a cancellation or other changes, you may be notified either by the Parks and Recreation department or through the platform.

  • First-come, first-served
Available spots are typically offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The first eligible person to accept the opening from the waitlist secures the spot.

Keep your contact information up to date

  • Profile information
Make sure the contact details in your user profile are accurate and current. This includes your email address and phone number, which may be used to notify you about available spots.

Important reminder

Waitlist rules can vary by Parks and Recreation department. Review the department’s waitlist policies so you understand how notifications, timing, and spot acceptance are handled.

Keeping your contact information up to date and understanding the waitlist process can improve your chances of securing a spot when one becomes available.
